Russian is the first language of over 150 million ɬÀï·¬ worldwide. It is spoken in Russia, other countries in the former Soviet Union, and in many communities in Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and North America. It is one of the five official languages of the United Nations. The U.S. government has classified Russian as a critical needs language vital to its national security interests.
