The Digital Education Leadership master鈥檚 degree is aligned with ISTE standards for coaches and with the relevant NETP goals and recommendations.
Program design
This 45-credit program, which can be completed in eight quarters, uses a cohort model beginning each Autumn Quarter. The course requirements include seven 5-credit courses and 6 elective credits.
The program begins with an orientation course and concludes with a practicum that provides you with practical, on-the-job experience, applying what you have learned in the program with real teachers, learners, and administrators.
Each course is team-taught by a full-time SPU faculty member and an experienced practitioner in the field. Courses are delivered asynchronously using a project-based learning model with weekly synchronous interactions between instructors and students. A strong emphasis is placed on using only open educational resources (OERs) for course content. Open access and free tools are used where possible. As a digital program, the use of paper is kept to a minimum.

Admission requirements
To apply for admission, submit the following items to Graduate Admissions:

- Official transcript(s) from each college and/or university attended.
- If your degree is not from a U.S. college or university, please arrange for your transcript to be evaluated by a -recognized credential service. Acceptable credential services include, but are not limited to, (WES) and (FIS).

- Present a GPA of at least 3.0 (4.0 = A) in the last 45 quarter credits of coursework completed.*
- Two letters of recommendation. These letters should provide a current assessment of qualifications relative to past and future service in the professional setting, and capability for graduate study. Recommendations should come from present principals, supervisors, colleagues, or former professors.
*The or will be required if GPA is less than 3.0. On the GRE, preferred minimum scores of Verbal: 148 and Quantitative: 147. On the MAT, preferred minimum scaled score of 400.
