Accepting Your Fine and Performing Arts Scholarship

If you are selected for a Fine and Performing Arts scholarship, you will be required to submit a contract in order to accept your scholarship. If you are accepting scholarships in multiple disciplines, you must submit a contract for each award type.

Note: These instructions apply to students who have received a scholarship for the 2025-2026 school year. If you are inquiring about a previous scholarship, contact the department directly.

Important Notes for All Scholarships

The following requirements apply to all Fine and Performing Arts scholarships:

  • FPA scholarships are designated for full-time, undergraduate students as an investment in your continued growth in your discipline. Participation in the below mentioned requirements assures that you will continue to grow as an artist/performer and leader at SPU.
  • These scholarships may be renewed annually by action of the Fine Arts Scholarship Committee. Renewability is limited to four academic years for freshmen or equivalent for transfers.
  • You are required to complete an FPA Scholarship Renewal Form each year if you desire to have your scholarship renewed. These forms may be obtained from the Fine and Performing Arts Office in the Crawford Music Building.
  • You are expected to serve as a Fine and Performing Arts liaison as needed at events.

It is important that you meet these requirements or your scholarship could be discontinued. If you are unable to meet these requirements, you must petition the department chair to consider other options to continue the scholarship.
