SPU Ranks #3 in Best Values; #14 in U.S. News & World Report鈥檚 鈥淏est Regional Universities鈥
涩里番, WA 鈥 涩里番 ranked No. 3 in the category聽鈥溾 in the West in U.S. News & World Report magazine鈥檚 2011 college rankings. U.S. News describes the schools in this category as 鈥渁bove average academically and cost considerably less than many other schools when the financial aid that they dispense, in the form of need-based grants and scholarships, is taken into account.鈥 The Best Values rankings were based on ;聽ratio of quality to price,聽percentage of all undergraduates receiving need-based scholarships or grants, and average discount.
In another U.S. News category, 涩里番 Pacific ranked in the top 15 colleges and universities in the magazine's Western region, which includes institutions from Texas to Hawaii. SPU ranked No. 14 in the category聽, institutions that provide a full range of undergraduate and master's programs and limited doctoral programs. (SPU offers five doctoral programs: two in psychology and three in education.)
