Modern Iraqi History
Monday, Feb. 10, 2025
Alissa Walter, associate professor of history, will host a time for refreshments and discussion of her recent book, . The book explores how ordinary residents of Baghdad survived periods of war, sanctions, and dictatorship during the tumultuous period from 1950 until the withdrawal of US troops from Iraq in 2011.The event is at 4:30 p.m. in the Ames Library on campus.
A Different Kind of Business Competition

This unique event is designed to encourage students from all majors to develop an entrepreneurial project that addresses dual bottom lines: social and financial. Participants tackle a felt social need while proposing a way to provide sustainable funding through a business activity. The public is invited to learn about the projects and vote for the "People's Choice" award.
Parking and Directions
Guests may park in campus commuter parking lots (with the exception of the S lot) after 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and anytime Saturday and Sunday. Parking is also available on local residential streets as marked.
