Education: BS, Wheaton College, 1999; MA, Trinity Graduate School, 2002; PhD, University of Maryland, 2012. At SPU since 2012.
Dr. Leland Saunders' primary research interests are in empirical approaches to moral psychology, moral debunking arguments, character, and virtue. He also teaches a wide range of courses in value theory, including Ethical Theory, Social Ethics, Political Philosophy, and Aesthetics, as well symbolic logic and UCOR 3000: Faith, Philosophy, and Science. Dr. Saunders also is coach of the SPU ethics bowl team.
